The situation

I play in October Changes myself, a Belgian electromelodic metal band, and help run the non-profit behind it. Accounting, member management, contact with venues and promoters, and social media planning all lived apart: a spreadsheet here, a separate tool there, a WhatsApp group for the rest. Nothing talked to each other, and every update had to happen in multiple places at once.

The build

So I built a fully custom management system on Laravel, with Inertia.js and React for the interface. Not an off-the-shelf package that half fits, but a system shaped exactly around how a band and a non-profit actually work.

What it does

Four major pieces came together. Accounting for the non-profit's obligations. Band management for shows, planning and logistics. Lead management for venues, promoters and collaborations. And social media planning, so nothing gets lost between platforms.

The result

One central system where accounting, non-profit obligations, shows, leads and social media come together, instead of separate tools that never talked to each other.

Centralised

Everything keeping the non-profit and the band running lives in one system, instead of scattered across spreadsheets and apps.

No more duplicate work

What used to mean copying data back and forth between tools is now a single entry that flows through everywhere.

Ready to grow

Adding new members, shows or leads costs no extra tooling, the system simply grows along.
